The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
   Dear Parishioners,

Last month, our Adoration Chapel was closed briefly for a period of three weeks in order for renovations to be carried out. This was in response to suggestions put forward by you, our adorers. The renovation is now complete and the Chapel re-opened. On behalf of the Pastoral team and the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Committee, I would like to request for your kind donations to cover the renovation costs. Reflection
The readings of this Sunday focus our attention on the cost of discipleship. It is natural for all human beings to avoid suffering as far as possible. In the first reading, it is no surprise that the Prophet Jeremiah should have been reluctant to let himself be mocked and insulted as part of doing God’s will. Indeed Jeremiah is actually prophesying the inevitable suffering of those who choose to follow Christ.
